Behind the sketch.
Roselawn, also known as the Dill House, was built around 1855 for attorney Isaiah Dill. The five-bay brick façade and Greek Revival details give it a calm, formal presence, though traces of the earlier Federal style linger in its proportions. The name "Roselawn" adds just the right touch of nineteenth-century romance.
