Moyers House
The story
Behind the sketch.
Built in 1929, the Moyers House is a compact stucco bungalow with paired windows, a centered porch, sturdy brick posts, and a porch wall punctuated by square openings. It is less a landmark than a particularly good example of the everyday houses that made Five Points a neighborhood.
The house also had to wait its turn to become historic. A 2005 planning photograph documents it before its inclusion in the local district, while the later National Register survey counts it as a contributing property. A metal roof and new gable vent arrived around 2010, but the bungalow kept enough of itself to remain part of the story.
