The Miller–Buchanan House is one of Five Points' best small Tudor Revival cottages, built in 1942 as the neighborhood approached the end of its prewar growth. Weatherboard siding keeps the house light and domestic, while a catslide cross gable, arched entrance, and stout brick chimney supply its storybook character. The nearly symmetrical façade is balanced by paired sash windows on one side, and a single window on the other. Its compact scale and carefully chosen details show how Tudor Revival design could give even a modest Huntsville house a memorable personality.
