Forbes-Levie House
The story
Behind the sketch.
Timberman and builder E. C. Forbes completed this Craftsman bungalow in 1912, then promptly sold it to B. A. England. Dr. L. Davis, a dentist, purchased the house in 1919, beginning more than sixty years of Davis family ownership. The Levie family followed in 1983, and remained until 2020. With its broad porch, half-timbered gables, knee braces, and substantial central dormer, the house brought Craftsman confidence to one of East Huntsville's narrow suburban lots.
